Alabama beat Georgia Saturday 41-30, rising in the AP Ranking to #2 in the nation. Saturday, at 5-0, they'll host their first SEC home game against Kentucky. Why is this important to a bakery? Well because there will be many fans tailgating in the quad with Alabama themed cookies, petit fours, cakes and cupcakes.
We already make football shaped cookies, elephant (Big Al) cookies and houndstooth hats. Cookies are perfect for tailgating because they travel well, are not messy, compliment all types of beverages, and say "Alabama" with a capital "A!" And, while I know he's only been the Alabama coach for a year-and-a-half, it's time to make a cookie in honor of Nick Saban.
Famed Alabama Coach Paul W. "Bear" Bryant was known for his houndstooth hat, but Coach Nick Saban wears equally distinctive headgear in the form of a straw hat with a crimson hatband .
We already have that cookie cutter and won't need to have it custom-made.
And here they are...our new Saban Straw Hat Cookie!
So Yea Alabama. Roll Tide! And celebrate with cookies!

We start making these cookies non-stop once football season starts and you can come in and just pick some out or order them for pick-up in the shop any time with a couple of days notice. We don't ship as the cookies are fragile and we cannot take responsibility for damage.
