Alabama football is taking a much needed break this week. There is no game on Saturday while the team gears up for the Ole Miss Rebels at home on the 18th.
The bye weekend is busy at Mary's. Many brides in Alabama get married this weekend simply because they don't have to compete with the game. And it is not just weddings. Lots of baby showers, bridal showers, parties and other celebrations will take place on this singular fall weekend of no football.
We stopped taking wedding cake orders months ago. And we stopped taking regular cake orders last week. We're going to be busy all weekend baking and decorating.

She's getting married at the beach Saturday. Just about her
entire family is flying in from out of state for the wedding and we all hope they have a wonderful time in Alabama and Florida.
So congratulations Kristi and Danny. We'll miss you this week and next. Enjoy the beach as you start your life together as husband and wife, and have a great time on your honeymoon. We'll be right here waiting for you...
