There is a new cupcake shop in town. The lines have been out the door with folks waiting to buy $3 cupcakes pretty much every day since they opened two weeks ago. Some of our customers have asked whether the new shop has impacted our business.
Why yes it has.
In a very good way... Our cupcake sales have more than tripled in the last couple of weeks since the new shop opened. Seems people suddenly crave little cakes with an abundance of buttercream.
It also seems some people don't want to wait in a line to buy their little cakes.
Go figure.
Or maybe they want a custom design, like these cute barn animal cupcakes.
Or they want to spend less than $3 for a cupcake.
So, I guess I should thank the new shop for fueling a cupcake craze in Tuscaloosa.
