I promise that, soon, we'll stop raving daily about Rosie, our new mixer. But for now we are just having so much FUN playing with our big new toy tool.
I'm not sure many people outside the bakery really, TRULY understand how wonderful she is.
She doesn't rattle or shake -- like our old mixer did. She purrs.
It's a whole new ballgame for us measuring out 20, 30 and 40 pounds of ingredients at one time.
She doesn't spew flour or sugar or cocoa powder on every surface in the bakery every time we turn her on -- like our old mixer did. She has a stir speed that gently folds in the dry ingredients until we are ready to rev her up.
An unexpected benefit is since there's less mess to clean up, our end-of-day chores go faster.
And now the staff volunteers to make buttercream, and shortbread. They smile broadly when I say we need a large batch. That NEVER happened with the old mixer.
And she's as big and strong as an offensive lineman. Like Michael Oher in the movie The Blind Side (or the Crimson Tide's Barrett Jones).
Tomorrow's game day.
