It's a shop that takes bakeware and other kitchen items, on consignment, sells them, and splits the proceeds (50-50) with the original owner.
What does Mary's Cupboard consider BAKEWARE?
Well... we're pretty liberal in our definition. It's easier to say what we will NOT accept. We won't take knives or glass bakeware (the risk of damage or injury is too great). We don't take pots and pans that go on the stove, unless it's something really special.
After that, it's pretty much anything goes. We sell lots of unusual and vintage items, as well as many run-of-the-mill kitchen tools. We also sell serving pieces such as cake plates, cake servers and cake plateaus.
And we have a large selection of cookbooks.
- Cast iron bakeware such as corn bread muffin pans and corn stick pans.
- Bundt pans, especially the heavy cast aluminum ones.
- Pizza peels and pizza stones.
- Rolling pins and measuring cups.
- Cookie cutters.
- Round and square cake pans.
- Vintage items. Things like "grandma used to have."
Where does our bakeware come from?
The vast majority comes from individuals who have cleaned out their cupboards and brought in items they no longer use (or never used).
We also shop estate sales, mainly for vintage items.
We stock some new items, mostly kitchen essentials such as scoops, measuring cups and spoons, cooling racks, and spatulas.
We resell items we buy in bulk for the bakery such as parchment paper, bakery boxes, cake boards, cupcake or petit four liners, sprinkles, and sanding sugar.
Mary, in her spare time, makes pot holders, oven mitts and aprons.
Where are we located?
